Giles Andreae is the award-winning and bestselling author of Rumble in the Jungle, Giraffes Can’t Dance and The Lion Who Wanted to Love. Giles is also the creator of Purple Ronnie and Edward Monkton. Most recently Giles won the Booktrust Early Years award for I Love My Mummy on which he collaborated with Emma Dodd. Giles lives in London with the wife and children.
David Wojtowycz began his illustration career by creating the Pigs Might Fly and Flux Deluxe greetings cards ranges and was asked to illustrate the very popular and successful picture book series that began with Rumble In The Jungle, written by Giles Andreae. Commotion In The Jungle, Cockadoodle-Do-Farmyard Hullabaloo and several novelty spin-offs followed. This successful author/illustrator pairing also won the picture book section of the Children’s Book award in 1988 with The Lion Who Wanted To Love. David’s bright, exuberant, funny illustrations are perfect for young children.
